Date & Time
Wednesday, November 4, 2020, 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
Description

Black and Brown women’s voices have largely felt left out of the ChIPs community for years.  While we’re working on changing that, the goal of this panel is to highlight some of the amazing Black and Brown women in IP (including women who haven’t attended the Global Summit in the past) and to amplify their voices.  The panel will cover a variety of topics of importance including:

•        The special challenges faced by Black and Brown women in IP and tech and how our panelists have dealt with them and overcome them;

•        The personal accomplishments of these amazing badass women;

•        The aftermath of the George Floyd murder and the significance of Amy Cooper;

•        Institutional racism, intersectionality, and the recruiting, hiring, and retention of Black and Brown female lawyers
