FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

REGISTRATION:  GLOBAL SUMMIT

  1. How do I apply to register for the Global Summit?  Anyone who is not attending as a guest of a sponsoring organization must apply for a registration. Visit our Attend page for attendee application open, close and notification dates.
 
  1. How do you determine who to accept? ChIPs strives to have equal participation between law firm and corporate attendees with the remainder of our attendees coming from the government, academia and nonprofit sectors. Where any particular group of attendees is oversubscribed, we consider a number of factors in accepting registration applications, including:
    • diversity of background;
    • level of involvement in ChIPs leadership;
    • leading ChIPs committee or chapter initiatives.
 
  1. When will sponsor attendee registration open? Sponsor attendee registration is expected to open in early June. Invitations to register as a sponsored attendee will come from direct from the sponsor.
 
  1. What is the registration deadline? Sponsor and individual registration closes on Friday, August 16. After August 16, if capacity permits those on the waitlist will be invited. 
 
  1. What is your registration cancellation and refund policy?  There are no refunds for confirmed registrations. If you registered as an individual (not as as a sponsor or guest of a sponsor) and are no longer able to attend, please email us globalsummit@chipsnetwork.org by Monday, September 16, 2019. If you booked a hotel room you are responsible for ensuring the room is released a minimum of 72 hours prior to your arrival date. If you registered as a sponsor or guest of a sponsor please contact the sponsor directly.
 
  1. Do you allow on-site substitutions for Summit? On-site substitutions are not permitted.
 
  1. Can a sponsor buy additional registration tickets? Unfortunately, we are not able to sell any additional registrations. Our sponsorship packages are built so that we can ensure an equal ratio of corporate attendees to law firm attendees. We encourage anyone additional who is interested in attending to apply but priority will be given to underrepresented attendee types (e.g., government, non profit, academic).
 
  1. Can I swap out corporate registrations for additional law firm registrations or vice versa? No, our capacity it set to that we have a specific ratio of corporate, law firm & government attendees.
 
  1. How can I modify my registration information? To modify your Global Summit registration information (i.e., name, title or organization changes), please click here to log back into your account and edit your details.  If you have any difficulties accessing your account please contact globalsummit@chipsnetwork.org
 
  1. What is the deadline for modifying your registrant information? The last day to modify your registrant information is Monday, September 16, 2019.
 
  1. Will I receive a list of all registered attendees in advance of the event? Registered attendees have access to a list of registered attendees via the event mobile app.  Our event mobile app will be available for download on the Agenda page in early September. 
 
  1. I no longer have access to the email address I used to create my account, what should I do? Please email globalsummit@chipsnetwork.org and we will update your email address for you. 
 
  1. I forgot my password how do I re-set it? At the sign in screen click the re-set password link. You will receive an email from noreply@swoogo.com with instruction for how to re-set your password. These messages may get caught in spam filters so please check to ensure the communication did not get blocked. If you are unable to re-set your password, please email globalsummit@chipsnetwork.org and we will be happy to assist you.
 
REGISTRATION:  HALL OF FAME  
  1. When do I register for the Hall of Fame Dinner? Diamond, Platinum and Gold sponsors receive a set number of Hall of Fame tickets. Each sponsor is responsible for allocating those tickets to their guests. All other invited Hall of Fame attendees, including speakers, will be receiving a link to register via globalsummit@chipsnetwork.org
 
  1. What is your cancellation and refund policy for the Hall of Fame Dinner? Hall of Fame tickets are non refundable. If you can no longer attend please email us at globalsummit@chipsnetwork.org by Monday, September 16, 2019. On-site substitutions are not permitted.

LODGING
  1. Does ChIPs have a block of rooms reserved at the Omni? Yes. Summit attendees will receive information about our room block in their registration confirmation email.  When booking online please provide the access code in your attendee confirmation email. 
 
  1. What is the hotel cancellation policy? You must cancel 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid one night penalty (one night's room and tax).
 
  1. If I cancel my Summit registration will my hotel room be automatically released? No. You are responsible for cancelling your room reservation at least 72 hours prior to your requested arrival date or else you will be charged.
 
  1. Can I reserve a group of rooms under one name? No, each room must be reserved under a unique name.
 
HEADSHOTS, VOLUNTEERS & SPONSORED EVENTS
  1. Do you have volunteer opportunities at the Summit? Yes. We have a limited number of volunteer positions available for firm or company staff. Volunteers do not have access to sessions, but we will do our best to make your volunteer experience enjoyable and rewarding.   1. As a sponsor, am I able to host private events in conjunction with Summit and invite Summit attendees? Yes, we support events in conjunction with Summit. However, please review our "ICW" Event Policy to ensure your event is abiding by our policy. 
 
  1. Will headshots sign ups be available for Summit attendees? Yes. An announcement will be made and sign up link will be sent in our late summer  Summit newsletter. Reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
