Professor Ting is Executive Vice President at the American Bankers Association. He has previously served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel for financial services companies, technology companies, and venture capital funds, including Panorama Education, Koalafi, SpringHarbor Financial Group, Promontory MortgagePath, and Canapi Ventures. Professor Ting previously worked at Latham & Watkins as a corporate, intellectual property and financial services lawyer, representing startups and Fortune 500 companies in M&A, financing and technology transactions. Before becoming a lawyer, he was a management consultant, primarily for pharmaceutical industry clients. Professor Ting graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He is also a Professorial Lecturer in Law at George Washington University Law School.

Professor Ting has published articles addressing artificial intelligence, intellectual property, financial regulations, risk management, privacy and corporate law matters. He is also a co-inventor for several patent applications in the financial services and technology fields.
