Yimeng Dou is a partner and trial lawyer in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice focuses on high-stake patent, copyright, trade secret, and trademark cases, post-grant proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and proceedings before the International Trade Commission.



Yimeng has played an integral role on several winning trial teams resulting in large jury verdicts. She has argued dispositive motions and won, taken and defended key witnesses’ and experts’ depositions, prepared witnesses for trial and led trial teams on key issues. She regularly works alongside technical and damages experts to develop a deep understanding of complex technologies and effective trial strategies. Yimeng also has extensive experience in motion practice both in district courts and arbitration proceedings, resulting in successful outcomes for her clients. Besides intellectual property issues, she also has extensive experience litigating contract, torts, and antitrust issues. Yimeng also regularly contributes to seminars on all aspects of intellectual property law.
