Angela is the Head of Product and Insights for Amazon’s Alexa Speech Recognition team. She is responsible for the AI-based speech interface for Alexa, enabling the global digital assistant to recognize what customers are saying to it across 16 languages and a plethora of 1st and 3rd party Alexa-enabled form factors such as Echo devices, Amazon.com app, Fire TV, Sonos speakers, Samsung phones, and automobiles. Prior to Amazon, she led Product teams at various e-commerce startups where she delivered an end-to-end e-commerce platform and launched a mobile app. Angela also spent 8 years in management consulting prior to her product career. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from U.C. Davis. In her free time, Angela enjoys exploring all corners of the Pacific Northwest with her husband and her two young sons.
