Jennifer Klein is the Chief Strategy and Policy Officer at TIME’S UP. She is an expert on domestic and global women’s policy issues, and also teaches these issues, most recently at Georgetown University Law Center.

Ms. Klein was a Senior Advisor on Women’s Issues to the Hillary for America campaign and transition team. Prior to the campaign, she helped Secretary Clinton develop and implement No Ceilings, an initiative at the Clinton Foundation to evaluate progress for women and girls since the 1995 Beijing Conference on Women and to advance gender equality around the world.

From 2009 to 2012, Ms. Klein was a Deputy and Senior Advisor in the Office of Global Women's Issues within the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of State. In this capacity, she worked on a range of foreign policy issues related to the advancement of women, including global health, girls’ education, and gender integration in U.S. foreign policy.

From February 1993 through January 1999, she worked at The White House in a dual appointment as First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton’s senior domestic policy advisor and a staff member for the President on the Domestic Policy Council. She was responsible for policy development and strategy on health care, including health care reform and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, and on a broad range of women’s and children’s issues, including child care, family and medical leave, reproductive rights, adoption and child welfare, and early childhood development.

Ms. Klein began her career as an associate at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett in New York. She graduated from Brown University and Columbia Law School, after spending her third year as a visiting student at Yale Law School.

She currently serves on the boards of the International Center for Research on Women, the Greenwall Foundation, and the Brown University School of Public Health.
