What is the Next Gen Summit?
Next Gen Summit is a one-day event with two distinct components:

  1. An invitation-only Mock Exercise that takes place in the morning
  2. The Next Gen Forum that takes place in the afternoon and features open registration

What is the Mock Exercise and how can I be involved?
The Mock Pitch Exercise is by invitation only and designed for law firm associates and junior partners in their first 15 years of practice to create and present a business pitch to a panel of judges made up of in-house representatives and members of the bench. If you are an in-house attorney or member of the judiciary and willing to serve as a mock client, please contact nextgensummit@chipsnetwork.org.

How many mock mentors may we have for our Mock Pitch team?
Mock Pitch mentors are optional but recommended. Each team may have one mock mentor and register them for $250.

What is the Next Gen Forum and who should apply?
The Next Gen Forum features open registration and is geared to lawyers at law firms, in-house counsel and government attorneys in their first 15 years of practice. Programming consists of of keynote speakers, panels and working sessions focused on building leadership and professional development skills.

How do I apply to attend the Next Gen Forum?
Look for the announcement to apply in the ChIPs June newsletter. Applications will be accepted through July 20th. All applicants will be notified of their status the first week of August.

What is your general attendee cancellation and refund policy?
If you need to cancel or change the name on your registration please email us at nextgensummit@chipsnetwork.org. The deadline for cancellations is October 1, 2018. No refunds are given for cancelled registrations. If you booked a hotel room you are responsible for ensuring the room is released a minimum of 72 hours prior to your arrival date.

No. Unfortunately at this time, the Next Gen event cannot accommodate members of the press.
