The Next Gen Summit is a one-day program designed to connect and advance women in their first 10 to 15 years of practice. The Summit features two distinct portions: A Mock Exercise that develops critical business-winning skills and an afternoon forum that inspires, motivates and educates lawyers in both the private and public sectors and working in-house.
I feel very fortunate that I could attend the Summit, including its Next Gen counterpart, so early in my career. I returned to Silicon Valley feeling energized and inspired by all of the professional women that I was privileged to meet. I found ideas to help guide our budding Santa Clara School of Law student chapter. And most importantly, I learned both substantive and interpersonal lessons that I apply at my firm every day. It’s a fantastic growth experience!

The ChIPs Next Gen Summit is always insightful, inspiring, and inclusive. Like the women of ChIPs, the Summit excels at fostering future women leaders in IP, tech, and policy by equipping them with expert insight, practical wisdom, and a community dedicated to promoting the advancement of women.

Next Gen was perfect for an IP attorney in the early stages of her career. It gave me great perspective on where I am, where I want go, and what I need to do to get there. I had access to women leaders in IP who were incredibly generous with their time and spoke candidly about issues that are important to me. The opportunity to network with these leaders and other women at the beginning of their careers in IP provided me with a sense of community that I know is essential to my growth in this field.
