Our seventh annual Global Summit explored NEW FRONTS in the technology, legal and regulatory landscapes. The sessions covered cutting-edge developments in the law, the shifting regulatory landscape for technology companies, challenges facing general counsel, and diversity and inclusion strategies available.
Speakers included Sallie Krawcheck, Pattie Sellers, Cheryl Mills, Sally Yates and Rebecca Slaughter. The Global Summit offered opportunities for attendees to connect and engage socially. Activities for the attendees included sponsored “after-parties,” women owned pop-up shops, morning yoga, a 5K walk/run and a new networking lounge.

ChIPs was delighted to announce its 2018 Hall of Fame honoree, U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono, a barrier breaker who has dedicated her life to public service. Hirono blazed a trail from Honolulu to Washington, D.C., becoming Hawaii’s first female senator and the country’s first Asian-American woman senator in 2012. She was the only woman of color in the Senate until the 2016 election.
The ChIPs Hall of Fame award was established in 2013 to recognize the exceptional accomplishments of individuals who have contributed significantly to the areas of intellectual property, technology, law and policy and have shown a demonstrated commitment to the ChIPs mission.
