A lawyer with two decades of recruiting experience, Anna has a passion for driving growth within in-house legal departments and law firms. She thrives on the prospect of finding the very best talent for her clients and new, rewarding, and ultimately better opportunities for her candidates. An expert in legal recruiting as well as an advocate for women and minority lawyers, Anna is a frequent speaker at legal conferences and law schools about diversity and other cutting-edge issues affecting the legal market.
Anna, a San Francisco Bay Area native, has worked with in-house legal departments and law firms across the country. Her clients have included companies in the high-tech, financial services, entertainment, life sciences, and healthcare industries as well as nonprofit organizations. In addition, she has worked on behalf of AmLaw 100 and 200 law firms and prominent boutique law firms. She has successfully placed all levels of in-house attorneys including general counsel, legal operations and compliance professionals, and law firm partners and associates.
Anna began her legal recruiting career at Major, Lindsey & Africa where she developed expertise in both in-house and law firm placement and was instrumental in founding the Diversity Task Force. She has since worked for Macrae and Mestel & Company, where she gained experience in retained and contingent searches for general counsel and partners. She is currently Senior Director of Recruiting at Paragon Legal, an innovative, woman-led leader in the interim placement of attorneys.
Before moving into legal recruiting, Anna was an associate at Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin (merged into Arnold & Porter's San Francisco office), where she worked on complex litigation matters. Anna graduated from Brown University and received her J.D. from U.C. Berkeley Law where she served as an Associate Editor of the California Law Review. Immediately after law school, she clerked for the Honorable Earl B. Gilliam on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
