Speaker Bio
Named a "Woman of Achievement" by Legal Momentum® and a "Woman of Influence" by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, Esha has been practicing intellectual property and technology-related commercial litigation and counseling in the Bay Area for almost two decades. Esha brings to any team a keen sense of trial strategy and jury presentation. She has represented companies ranging from Fortune 100 to emerging startups, in subject matters ranging from computer hardware and software to medical devices and consumer products.
Esha has successfully obtained verdicts of patent invalidity and recovered jury verdicts and settlements in the millions. Her successes in patent cases in District Courts and the ITC have resulted from winning cases at trial, winning cases on summary judgment motions and motions to dismiss, and prevailing on advantageous claim constructions. As a result, she has been listed in the Northern California “Super Lawyers” publication every year since 2007.
Esha also has extensive litigation experience in non-patent cases and was recognized by Best Lawyers® for 2018 in the field of trade secrets law. Esha is frequently invited to serve as a guest speaker and lecturer at Boalt Hall.
In 2000, at 22, Esha received her law degree from Boalt Hall. She received her B.A. in Economics, with highest distinction, in 1996 from UC-San Diego; at 18, she was the youngest graduate in the history of the university.
Esha is involved with SABA, AABA, APABA, SVIPLA, WIPLA, and ChIPs. She currently sits on the Boards of Legal Momentum and World Arts West, serves as the Social Media Chair for the Golden Gate Mothers Group, and is heavily involved in the American India Foundation and the St. Francis Foundation.
