Laurie Charrington is Director of Patent Litigation at Netflix. She previously worked as Associate General Counsel and Patent Litigation Team Lead in Intel’s Intellectual Property Legal Group.

At Intel, Laurie co-led Intel Legal’s Diversity and Inclusion Team and served on the General Counsel’s Black Leadership Advisory Council.

Laurie is an active member of ChIPs and is a founding member of the Silicon Valley ChIPs Chapter and has been a leader in many organizations focused on increasing equity and inclusion in the technology and legal industries.

Laurie holds a BA in Computer Science from City University of New York at College and a JD from Rutgers Newark School of Law (awarded with honors, Order of the Coif). Born and raised in New York, Laurie spent nearly 15 years practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, three daughters (ages 17, 15, and 10), son and daughter-in-law (22) and granddaughter (2).
