Angie Hankins is a seasoned legal executive with over two decades of experience advising international B2B and B2C technology and manufacturing companies. Currently, Angie is the Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance for Schott North America, Inc. and is responsible for the Legal & Compliance function for the North American operations of SCHOTT AG, a specialty multi-national glass manufacturer. She is responsible for corporate governance, commercial transactions, environmental, health & safety, government affairs, import/export control, labor and employment, litigation and investigations, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and labor and employment.
Prior to joining Schott, Angie was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Samsung Strategy & Innovation Center in Menlo Park, California where she was responsible for corporate governance, intellectual property, and legal strategy where she advised on merger and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and investments in early and growth stage companies. Previously, Angie was a partner in the New York office of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP where her practice focused on intellectual property counselling and litigation. Prior to becoming an attorney, Angie served in the United States Air Force as a telecommunications specialist.
Angie has a Juris Doctorate from University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology. She is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York, and before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Federal District Courts of New Jersey, and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Angie also is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
